In 40 seconds
CrossFit demands extraordinary shoulder mobility and stability — Olympic lifts, gymnastic movements, butterfly pull-ups, handstand push-ups. Rotator cuff tendinopathy, AC joint issues, and anterior shoulder pain are common. PEMF therapy supports shoulder recovery and is widely used in box gyms.
Quick facts
- Common issues: Rotator cuff, AC joint, anterior impingement, biceps tendinopathy
- Trigger movements: Snatch, jerk, butterfly pull-up, kipping HSPU
- PEMF role: Reduces inflammation, supports tendon repair
- Pairs with: Mobility + scapular stability + technique
Why this injury happens in this sport
Most CrossFit shoulder issues come from a mismatch between mobility, stability, and the demand of advanced movements. Coaching plus rehab fixes both sides.
Recovery and return to sport
Reduce overhead volume during recovery. PEMF 2–3× per week. Scapular and rotator cuff strengthening. Coach review of overhead positions.
Contraindications

Discuss with your GP or specialist before booking if any apply:

Can I scale workouts during shoulder recovery?
